Boliden is a high-tech metal company with its own mines and smelters, working long-term to ensure society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will play a crucial role in the future – what matters is how we produce them. Join us and drive change for future generations.
As a Planner at the Renström Mine, you will have a central and coordinating role where you ensure that our maintenance activities are well-planned, quality-assured, and feasible. Here, you will combine structure, technical understanding, and close collaboration with several functions to create stable and sustainable flows in maintenance work.
Your role
In this role, you are responsible for the entire chain from incoming work orders to completed plans. You act as a gatekeeper for all planable work orders and ensure that quality, information, and priority are correct. You prepare work orders together with relevant functions and schedule both short-term workflows and long-term plans. The role also involves ongoing collaboration, analysis work, and follow-up to strengthen operational reliability and improve our processes over time.
Your team
You will be part of a team where planning, work management, and operations collaborate closely. You will work closely with mine planning, maintenance, and other support functions, becoming a central contact point to ensure good communication and common direction.
Your tasks
- Plan, prepare, and schedule work orders for maintenance and operations, both short-term and long-term.
- Manage incoming work orders and ensure quality, priority, and complete information.
- Prepare the execution of work through work instructions, risk analyses, and material and resource planning.
- Monitor and manage backlog, evaluate and reprioritize work orders in consultation with technicians and facility owners.
- Keep plans updated based on operational conditions, legal requirements, inspections, and changes in mining plans.
- Analyze error codes and recurring deviations and contribute to improved working methods and increased operational reliability.
- Follow up on costs, support stop planning, and contribute to ensuring compliance with workplace, environmental, and safety requirements.
Your contribution
The role requires a structured and self-driven person with the ability to create order and clarity in complex environments. Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude are important, as well as the ability to see the big picture and understand how different parts affect each other. An analytical and solution-oriented work style is central, as is the interest in developing both working methods and relationships. The work is performed in the borderland between technology and coordination, which requires the ability to prioritize well-founded and ensure quality throughout the process, from work order to delivery.
We are looking for someone who has
- High school technical education
- Documented experience in planning/preparation/scheduling in maintenance or similar industrial environment
- Familiarity with maintenance systems, preferably Maximo
- Very good computer skills
- Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
- Basic knowledge of English in speech and writing
- Driver's license B
- Experience in industrial or mining environments is an advantage

We offer a workplace where we believe in collaboration and where what you contribute will have a direct impact on future generations. We are a company made up of responsible and creative people who all work towards the same vision; to become the most sustainable and respected metal supplier in the world.
